VAN NISTELROOY will face nine rivals - three of them
stablemates - when he puts his unbeaten record on the line in the Aga Khan Studs National Stakes at The
Curragh tomorrow.
The unbeaten Dublin, who was supplemented for the race on Tuesday, heads the British challenge.
Aidan O'Brien, who has won the event four times, most recently with Hawk Wing a year ago, will also be represented by Spartacus, winner of the Phoenix Stakes last month, maiden winner Macedonian King and the maiden Kimberley Mine, in addition to Van Nistelrooy.
Mick Channon, bidding for a Group 1 September double at the Curragh, having landed the Moyglare Stud Stakes with Mail The Desert two weeks ago, has left in Checkit and Roskilde.
Meanwhile, Tipperary maiden winner Hanabad represents the race sponsors and John Oxx, while Dermot Weld runs Gowran Park winner Refuse To Bend.
A decision as to whether the track will be watered
after today's Irish St Leger meeting will be taken this
afternoon.
