Van Eperen offers benefit to Maryland Municipal League members.

A Baltimore professional marketing services firm is providing a new benefit tomembers of an organization that represents municipalities in Maryland.

Van Eperen will providecomplimentary crisis communications consulting services to municipal members of the Maryland Municipal League, the company announced.The initial consultation isfree for any appointed or elected official that is a member of the league, the company said in a news release.

Scott Hancock, executive director of the Maryland Municipal League, said not all members have experience or a plan for communication during crises.

The firm already serves some members of the league, and will provide the consulting services to ready local leaders before a crisis happens, said Laura Van Eperen, CEO of Van Eperen, in a statement.
