Vaginal Dryness.

Estrogen creams like Premarin cream, applied topically twice a week, can reduce vaginal dryness. But there's another solution if you don't want to use hormones: Vagisil Intimate Moisturizer Vagisil is a non-hormonal, water-based moisturizer you can buy without a prescription at your local drugstore. Naturopath Tori Hudson, professor at the National College of Naturopathic Medicine in Portland, cites a study that found Vagisil was almost as effective as Premarin cream in moisturizing vaginal tissues, increasing elasticity, and relieving discomfort from intercourse.

In this study, a few drops of Vagisil were applied topically twice a day. That's more than using hormones twice a week, but for women who don't want to use hormones, it's a great, safe option.
