 VULTRON AWARDED CONTRACTS BY MICHIGAN DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION
 ROCHESTER HILLS, Mich., April 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Vultron, Inc., a subsidiary of Trans-Industries (NASDAQ: TRNI), has been awarded contracts by the Michigan Department of Transportation (M-DOT) and the Northeast Illinois Regional Commuter Railroad Corporation D/B/A METRA of Chicago for manufacture and installation of electronic display systems.
 The M-DOT contract, valued at $1.4 million, consists of a network of over-the-highway variable message signs centrally controlled from the Detroit Freeway Operations Center. Project completion is set for August 1992.
 METRA will utilize Vultron liquid crystal displays throughout Chicago rail terminals to provide passenger and gate information. The signs will be integrated with the PIDS computer operations network. The project will be phased over two years and is valued at $3.2 million.
