VTCS launched with consultation of HCCI: FBR.

HYDERABAD -- A senior official of Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), Yousuf Muneer Shaikh has said that Voluntary Tax Compliance Scheme (VTCS) was launched with consultation of Hyderabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (HCCI) and other business community.

He expressed these views while visting HCCI and inspection of the VTCS desk set up at HCCI secretariat on Monday.

It was launched to include non-filer of tax in tax net voluntarily, he said adding the relation between Business Community and FBR needed to be strengthened. He clarified that Filer of tax would not pay 0.6 per cent tax on bank transactions. On the occasion, Senior Vice President HCCI, Turab Ali Khawaja said that VTCS would be beneficial for business community. The Officials of FBR and members of HCCI were present on the occasion.
