VONS WILL REDEEM RESET NOTES ARCADIA, Calif., April 7 /PRNewswire/ -- The Vons Companies Inc.
(NYSE: VON) announced today that it has mailed notices to redeem, on May 1, 1992, all of its outstanding 12 7/8 percent Subordinated Reset Notes (CUSIP No. 928869 AC 0), due May 1, 1997.
Vons will pay accrued interest on the notes being redeemed up to May 1, 1992, to bondholders of record as of April 15, 1992. The company will use funds provided from operations and available under its Revolving Credit Facility to fund the redemption. Questions regarding the redemption process should be directed to the Trustee of the Notes, Bank of New York. The Vons Companies Inc., headquartered in Arcadia, operates 339 stores throughout Southern California and Nevada under the names Vons, Pavilions, Williams Bros. and Tianguis and owns the Jerseymaid Milk Products Co.
