VOICECOM(R) ACQUIRES ASYNC, AN MCI SUBSIDIARY SAN FRANCISCO, Oct. 16 /PRNewswire/ --VoiceCom(R) Systems, Inc.
announced today that it had acquired Async Corp., a wholly-owned subsidiary of MCI Communications Corp. (NASDAQ: MCIC). With the addition of Async, VoiceCom becomes the leading provider of voice processing services to the business community, with projected annual revenues in excess of $65 million. The combined entity will have some 325 employees. The terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
