VOICE OF THE SCOTTISH DAILY Mirror: Sum you win.

ALEX Salmond had threatened to throw his toys out of the pram and resign if the budget fell yesterday.

Now we're stuck with him after a deal with the Tories guaranteed the SNP won the day on their spending plan.

But the hard work for Salmond's minority government starts here.

The budget guarantees a council tax freeze, which will be welcomed by hard-up households across the land.

But the inevitable cuts which will surely follow will not be welcome.

Salmond deserves a pat on the back for getting the budget through, but he'll have a tough time justifying the cuts.
