VOICE OF THE DAILY Mirror: The gift of life.
THE elders of Africa speak with eloquence today about the need to help the people of Chad and Darfur. In simple language they explain if they were rich and we were poor they would come to our aid.
It is a powerful message and we should do the same for them.
We all know that at Christmas the pressure on family budgets is high. There is a large number of presents and mountains of food to buy. The temptations of the shops are huge.
But the real meaning of Christmas is to help others in more need than us. And what better present is there than to help save a life.
Just pounds 5 will pay for enough clean water to keep one person alive for a week.
Please support the Daily Mirror's Christmas Appeal for the people of Chad and Darfur.
