VOICE OF THE DAILY Mirror: Iraq wrongs.

NEW Defence Secretary Des Browne picked a wrong target by claiming the media "magnified" attacks on British soldiers by a Basra mob.

The bullets and petrol bombs aimed at troops when a helicopter crashed, killing all five on board, tell their own tale.

Browne should acknowledge that Iraq is lawless and dangerous instead of erecting smokescreens.

Yesterday the government also won an appeal to remove anti-war protester Brian Haw from outside the House of Commons.

Haw is a danger to no one and his eviction will be another blow to free speech.

The government got it wrong on Iraq yesterday. Twice.
