VODAFONE ISSUES SUBSCRIBER INFORMATION

 NEWBURY, BERKSHIRE, England, Jan. 5 /PRNewswire/ -- Vodafone Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Vodafone Group Plc, today published details of new subscribers to its cellular telephone network for December 1992.
 The figures were as follows:
 Gross new connections 28,580
 Net new connections 12,420
 Gross new connections for the last calendar quarter of 1992 totalled 88,399, resulting in net new connections of 40,414. During this period Vodafone maintained its UK market leadership with a 53.8 percent share of gross connections, and a 57.7 percent share of net connections.
 At the end of 1992 Vodafone had more than 795,000 subscribers connected to its cellular network, including more than 45,000 subscribers on the new LowCall service which was launched on Oct. 1, 1992. These figures include subscribers connected to the AA Callsafe service.
