VIVIANA DURANTE JOINS ABT FOR MET SEASON.

Royal Ballet principal Viviana Durante will dance with American Ballet Theatre during the company's spring performances at the Metropolitan Opera House in New York City. ABT will present the company premiere of Kenneth MacMillan's Anastasia, which Durante has performed with the Royal Ballet. On ABT's roster, Durante is listed as a principal dancer, not as a guest artist, although in December a company spokesperson said that whether she would remain with the company after the spring season was still being negotiated. The season, which runs from April 26 to June 19, also includes revivals of Push Comes to Shove, Airs, and Gaite Parisienne, as well as La Bayadere, Don Quixote, Romeo and Juliet, Le Corsaire, Giselle, and The Snow Maiden.
