 NEWARK, N.J., Aug. 13 /PRNewswire/ -- Visual Industries, Inc.


(NASDAQ: VISC) today announced that, after receiving a default notice from one of its lenders, its board of directors voted to seek protection under Chapter 11 of the Federal Bankruptcy Code, on Aug. 14, 1992.
 Visual Industries, Inc. and its subsidiary manufacture specialized equipment and furniture for the professional engineering, drafting and art fields, as well as the leisure art field; steel office furniture; institutional, financial, governmental, hospital, pharmaceutical and health-care fields.
