VISA NAMES HEAD OF INTERNATIONAL PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT

Dutray Joins World's Largest Consumer Payment System; Rounds Out
 Management Team




SAN FRANCISCO, Feb. 13 /PRNewswire/ -- Francois Dutray has joined Visa International as group executive vice president, Product Development, reporting to Wesley C. Tallman, president of Products and Information Services. Dutray, 51, rounds out the Visa management team and has been appointed to its Management Executive Committee. He formerly served as deputy managing director of Sligos, a FF4 billion company which provides monetics and software development to banks and industry.

In his new role, Dutray will be responsible for providing a global perspective by identifying new product development opportunities, technologies and applications; driving growth by acquisition, partnerships and other ventures; and integrating new products into the overall organization. He will oversee credit, deposit access and cash products; information and processing services; and point-of-transaction operations.

"Francois brings an aggressive and dynamic background as a strategist and international business expert to Visa," said Tallman. "His in-depth market expertise and continental perspective, resulting from work experience in France, India and the United States, will engender a spirit of interaction between our regions, as Visa continues its global expansion. Prior to working at Sligos, Dutray held the post of vice president-Corporate Development at Bull SA. Earlier at Gaz et Eaux, he was instrumental in the turnaround of Data Business Vision, a software graphics startup based in San Diego, California.

Dutray began his career with Thomson CSF, in both France and India, where he utilized his engineering background as a development engineer. He holds a baccalaureate in mathematics and a graduate degree in electrical engineering from Ecole Superieure de Mecanique et d'electricite. Dutray speaks fluent French and English, and understands Spanish and Italian.
