VILLAGERS RAP FOR 'SNOBBY' MADONNA.
SUPERSTAR Madonna has come under attack for snubbing villagers while shooting her new movie.
She has rented a farmhouse in the hamlet of Gudja, on Malta, but has refused to show herself.
Angry mayor, John Callejja, said: "I'm really disappointed in her attitude. She's a guest in our village and the least she could have done is meet and greet some of us.
"She hasn't done herself any favours here."
Another local, estate agent Omar Xuereb, said: "We were all excited when we heard she was coming, but now we think she's just a big snob.
"She's surrounded by bodyguards and hides in cars all the time. She is not humble and her fame has gone to her head."
Madonna, 42, is in Malta to film husband Guy Ritchie's new movie Love, Sex, Drugs and Money.
The couple, with children Lourdes and Rocco, have 24-hour protection from guards patrolling with dogs.
