VIDEOCART RECEIVES LETTER OF INTENT FOR FIRST INTERNATIONAL LICENSE

CHICAGO, Nov. 19 ~PRNewswire~ -- VideOcart Inc. (NASDAQ: VCRT), a development stage company, today announced that in preparation for expansion outside the U.S. during 1993, it has begun to offer international licenses to its technology and has received a letter of intent regarding the first of these license sales.
Over the last year, VideOcart reports it has received nearly one hundred unsolicited inquiries regarding international expansion opportunities. Heretofore, the company has not pursued these opportunities aggressively due to limited resources. However, its recent agreement with IBM regarding manufacturing and financing provided the company with the flexibility to do a limited number of installations throughout the world in 1993. The company developed a license program in response to these worldwide opportunities.
TROLL KOMMUNIKASJON A~S, of Norway, has provided the company with a letter of intent to purchase an initial license for Norway, and intends to begin installing stores early in 1993.
The company is also holding active discussions regarding Mexico, South and Central America, the Far East, Israel, Canada, and most of the Common Market countries of Europe. Some of these discussions concern long term exclusive licenses, while others concern shorter term testing.
The company expects to receive substantial up front payments from licensees and, in the case of exclusive licenses, substantial ongoing royalties as well. All licensees will initially be provided with the company's existing ten button display unit.
VideOcart is a micro-marketing media company, in its development stage, which installs and maintains a communication network consisting of programmable and targetable digital communications to video displays affixed to grocery shopping carts. This communications network, now installed in approximately 220 supermarkets across the country, allows consumer product goods manufacturers to reach consumers at the exact aisle location of the brand being advertised or promoted with a flexible video message.
