VIDEO ON DEMAND EXPANDS TO ISRAEL

VANCOUVER, British Columbia, June 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Demand Technologies Ltd. is pleased to announce that the company along with Image Systems Corp. (ISC), has entered into an interim agreement to establish a joint venture with a private Israeli group in Tel-Aviv, Israel. The agreement calls for implementation of ISC's Video on Demand system in Israel and may include the expansion to other countries outside of North America and New Zealand. Details of the three-year formal agreement are being drafted by attorneys for the above parties. Demand Technologies, ISC and the Israeli group will meet towards the end of July or early August to sign the formal agreement.
Implementation of ISC's Video on Demand system is expected as early as October of this year in Elat, a "Riviera" like tourist community in Israel on the Gulf of Aqaba. Several installations are expected over the period of this contract resulting in the provision of Video on Demand services to approximately 100,000 cable subscribers.
ISC's joint venture installation with Kiwi Cable in New Zealand is proceeding very well and will be operational by the end of June. ISC has recently acquired a substantial video library to provide to subscribers which will be expanded as titles become available. New subscriber orders are increasing daily.
In a recent visit to New Zealand, Demand Technologies' President, Guilford Brett, met with senior officials of the New Zealand government, including a senior advisor to the Prime Minister. During a tour of Kiwi Cable and Demand Technologies' offices in Paraparamu they discussed the educational applications of Video on Demand for New Zealand, and were impressed by the company's advanced technology.
