 VIDEO LOTTERY TECHNOLOGIES COMPLETES PURCHASE OF AUTOMATED
 WAGERING UNIT FROM CERIDIAN
 MINNEAPOLIS, June 23 -- Ceridian Corp. (NYSE: CEN) and Video Lottery Technologies Inc. (VLT) (NASDAQ: VLTS), announced today that VLT has closed on the acquisition of the Automated Wagering Division of Ceridian (formerly Control Data Corp.). The acquisition will be operated as a wholly owned subsidiary called Automated Wagering International Inc. As previously announced, the purchase price was approximately $40 million.
 The Automated Wagering unit provides on-line lottery processing systems and services to eight states (Delaware, Florida, Minnesota, Montana, New York, Pennsylvania, South Dakota and Washington), as well as the Norwegian national lottery and two off-track betting jurisdictions in New York.
 Concurrent with the closing of the acquisition, which occurred at 9:29 a.m. (EST) today, VLT completed its previously announced secondary common stock issuance of 2 million shares.
 VLT, through its principal subsidiary, Video Lottery Consultants Inc., is the leading manufacturer of video lottery terminals and is involved in the design and installation of central control systems software and related services for the video lottery markets. The company's video lottery terminals are in operation in Montana, South Dakota and Oregon; the Canadian provinces of New Brunswick, Newfoundland, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island and Alberta; and Victoria, Australia.
 Ceridian Corp. is a services company. It provides payroll processing and other employer services, media and market research, and network services to business customers, as well as information management services and products to government customers.
