VICKI SUTTON APPOINTED PRESIDENT OF PARAMOUNT PARKS

 CHARLOTTE, N.C., May 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Victoria S. Sutton has been named to the newly created position of president of Paramount Parks, which is part of the entertainment operations of Paramount Communications Inc. (NYSE: PCI). Ms. Sutton was formerly executive vice president of Paramount Parks, headquartered here.
 In her new position, she will be responsible for the marketing, design, entertainment, merchandise, and finance and administration divisions of Paramount Parks. In addition, she will help to set the new product development creative direction for the theme park group.
 Paramount Parks operates Paramount's Carowinds in Charlotte, N.C.; Paramount's Great America in Santa Clara, Calif.; Paramount's Kings Dominion in Richmond, Va.; and Paramount's Kings Island in Cincinnati, Ohio. Paramount also has a 20 percent ownership interest in and manages Canada's Wonderland in Toronto, Canada.

 Since being acquired by Paramount Communications Inc., in October of 1992, Paramount Parks has introduced new Paramount-themed products including DAYS OF THUNDER motion simulator theaters at Paramount's Kings Dominion and Paramount's Carowinds and TOP GUN roller coasters at Paramount's Kings Island and Paramount's Great America. The parks also have introduced "Paramount on Ice" shows, "Star Trek" and "Days of Thunder" character actors as well as other Paramount themes and merchandise.
 Ms. Sutton began her career with Taft Broadcasting in 1975 when she was named group sales coordinator at Carowinds. In 1978, she was named group sales and promotions manager and became the park's marketing director in 1980. Ms. Sutton was appointed director of marketing at Kings Dominion in 1982 and was named vice president and general manager of Carowinds in 1983. She became an executive vice president of Paramount Parks in 1992.
 Ms. Sutton holds a bachelor's degree from the University of North Carolina-Greensboro. She is a native of Fort Mill, South Carolina.
 Ms. Sutton serves on the boards of directors of Lance, Inc. and Park Meridian Bank. She serves as a member of the North Carolina Travel and Tourism Board and is a Trustee of Belmont Abbey College. In addition, Ms. Sutton serves on the board of the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation's Benefactors for the Cure and is a commissioner of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Hospital Authority.
