VETERAN EXECUTIVE NAMED TO HEAD DENVER DISTRIBUTORSHIP

GOLDEN, Colo., Dec. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Coors Brewing Co. (CBC) has announced the appointment of Tom Sund -- whose career has encompassed a wide range of responsibilities at Coors -- as general manager of Coors Distributing Co. of Denver.
A Denver native, Sund has been with CBC for 24 years and has served as an officer for the past 13 years, most recently as vice president of Purchasing and Materials Management. Sund has spent the last several months directing the Workplace Redesign initiative, an intensive internal analysis which has redefined job duties to foster improved productivity company-wide.
"Tom has been an important and valued member of our management team, and our Denver distributorship and all our local customers will benefit from his considerable talents and experience," said Leo Kiely, president and chief operating officer of CBC.
In his new role, Sund will oversee sales to retailers and market development throughout most of Coors' important home market. Sund likewise will play a significant role in the company's numerous involvements across the Denver community. He will begin his new duties immediately, replacing Ed Peterson, who is retiring.
Sund, 46 a graduate of the University of Colorado at Boulder, resides in Lakewood.
The Denver distributorship is one of six currently owned and operated by CBC, the nation's third largest brewer.
