 VERSAR APPOINTS NEW GENERAL COUNSEL
 SPRINGFIELD, Va., June 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Versar, Inc.


(AMEX: VSR), announced today the appointment of James C. Dobbs as vice president and general counsel. Dobbs was previously general counsel of Metcalf & Eddy, Inc. Dobbs will head risk management at Versar, including the legal, insurance, contract administration and procurement functions.
 Dobbs brings to Versar 17 years experience in providing legal and regulatory counsel on a wide variety of environmental and business issues for several major corporations. He has written and lectured extensively on environmental and government contracting issues for educational institutions and business groups including Harvard University's John F. Kennedy School of Government, the American Law Institute and the American Bar Association, and has co-presented Federal Publication's popular "Government Environmental Contracting Seminar" for the last five years. He is the author of numerous articles and co-authored the recently published "Design Professional's Handbook of Law and Business" by John Wiley. Dobbs is also vice-chair of the Privatization and Energy Finance Committee of the Natural Resources Section and vice chair of the Architect/Engineer Committee of the Public Contract Law Section of the American Bar Association.
