VERITEC INC. ANNOUNCES REASSIGNMENT OF CHAIRMAN, CEO AND PRESIDENT

 CHATSWORTH, Calif., May 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Veritec Inc. announced today that Chairman, Chief Executive Officer and President Robert S. Anselmo has resigned as chairman, chief executive officer/president to focus his efforts for the company in the newly created position of executive director for NASA, Government Affairs and Strategic Planning, effective May 21, 1993.
 The board of directors has assigned Tom Hurner and Arnold Lord, both members of the company's board of directors, the temporary roles of acting chief operating officer and acting chief financial officer, respectively. The company has identified and is currently negotiating with senior professionals to fill key management positions.
 Jack Dahl has resigned as chief financial officer, however, Dahl remains as a part of Veritec management. In addition, Carl S. Anselmo has resigned as vice president of engineering of the company and resigned from the company's board of directors.
 The company has retained the services of Donald Leonard, Steve Myers and Alexander LaChance.
 Leonard is president of DCL Associates and will act as interim director of marketing. He has more than 30 years experience in management, strategic planning, marketing and business development. He was formerly director of special projects for TRW's Systems Applications Center.
 Myers has more than 25 years experience in quality management, manufacturing and marketing. He formerly held the position of vice president quality control for Allied Signal Aerospace Co., and vice president quality assurance for Lockheed Aeronautical Systems Co. He will direct the sales and marketing to the aerospace industry.
 LaChance will assume the position of director of engineering. He has more than 30 years experience in telecommunications, imaging technology and advance technology research. He formerly was employed by Bell and Howell as vice president, general manager of the Imaging System Division and has spent several years as a consultant to international firms developing imaged-based systems and peripherals.
 In an unrelated matter, the company announced that Charles Collins resigned as a member of the board of directors March 31, 1993.
 Veritec is the developer of a computerized encoding and decoding technology for the marking of machine-readable symbols directly onto virtually any material. An initial application of the company's patented technology will be in facilitating the traceability of critical manufactured parts and components in the aerospace, automotive and electronics industries. The company's technology was recently validated in the independent tests performed for NASA by Rockwell International.
