 VENEVISION'S 'CARA SUCIA' DEFEATS COMPETITION
 ON FIRST WEEK OUTING ON UNIVISION NETWORK
 CORAL GABLES, Fla., Aug. 21 /PRNewswire/ -- Venevision International's new telenovela "Cara Sucia," which premiered on the Univision Network on Aug. 3, beat out the completion for its premiere week in its overall weekly ratings, it was announced by Carlos Barba, president and CEO of Venevision International.
 Of the five metered markets, "Cara Sucia" averaged at 7.7 in Miami; a 2.2 rating in New York; a 2.5 in Los Angeles; a 1.5 in Houston; and, a 3.2 rating in San Antonio. The ratings were provided in New York, Los Angeles, Miami and Houston by Arbitron and in San Antonio by A.C. Nielsen.
 Produced by Venevision on location in Venezuela, "Cara Sucia" features the classic story of two people who despite being very different, fall in love. Guillermo Davila, Venezuela's singing and acting sensation, and newcomer Sonya Smith star in this powerful one- hour drama, which airs from 9 p.m. to 10 p.m. (ET). The series recently began airing on Antenna 3 in Spain.
 Based in Coral Gables, Venevision International is the official distributor of Venevision, the leading network in Venezuela and a prolific producer of programming for the global marketplace.
