VECTOR VENTURE SAYS SHIPMENTS OF WATER PURIFCATION SYSTEMS TO VIETNAM VALUED IN EXCESS OF $1 MLN PER MONTH TO BEGIN IN JANUARY

 NEW YORK, Nov. 11 /PRNewswire/ -- Vector Venture Corporation (VSE: VVG), a developer of proprietary environmental technologies and systems for water purification and waste management, "expects to begin shipping its Diamond Rain water purification systems to Vietnam at a rate in excess of $1 million per month, retail value, commencing in January 1994," Amyn Dahya, president and chief executive officer, told analysts and money managers attending the Westergaard Micro-Cap Conference here today. Mr. Dahya noted that following a memorandum of agreement with the government of Vietnam signed in July 1993, Vector conducted a full-scale demonstration of its technology at the International Exposition in Hanoi from Oct. 20 to 26, 1993, where management met with Vietnamese government officials to finalize the water purification program for the country which calls for the installation of systems in excess of $500 million in value over the next three to five years. Included in the initial monthly shipments will be point-of-use water purification units, and commercial size units which will provide purified water for hospitals, schools and other institutions as well as outlying villages and communities which have no municipal water supply system. The size and scale of shipments will increase as the program develops.
 Mr. Dahya also told those attending the conference that Vector's previously announced Diamond Rain joint venture to provide a water purification and water vending and bottling systems in the Philippines will be implemented in 1994 and that arrangements are also being concluded to provide Diamond Rain units in Germany, East Africa and Latin America.
 Mr. Dahya assured the conferees that Vector has access to the financial and manufacturing resources to fulfill its commitments to its global customers. He also noted that the close cooperation with government officials at the highest levels in Vietnam was instrumental in the rapid progress leading to shipments following the memorandum of agreement.
