VECTOR VENTURE CORP. TO BEGIN DELIVERY OF 21 DIAMOND RAIN WATER PURIFICATION UNITS VALUED AT US$700,000 UNDER VIETNAMESE AGREEMENT

SPARKS, Nev., Jan. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Vector Venture Corp. (Vancouver: VVG) has received signed contracts to begin delivery in February of 21 of its Diamond Rain water purification systems under Phase I of its agreement with the Government of Vietnam, it was announced today by Amyn S. Dahya, President of Vector Venture. "We are pleased that the shipment of this initial order, with a project value of US$700,000, is commencing as scheduled. The systems will be installed in schools and hospitals in a province close to Hanoi," stated Mr. Dahya. "We anticipate receiving additional orders under Phase I very shortly as other Vietnamese provinces are eager to begin installation," he added.
In July 1993, Vector Venture signed a Memorandum of Agreement with the Government of Vietnam for the installation in three phases of 10,000 Diamond Rain water purification systems over a three year period, with an estimated project value of US$500 million. Phase I calls for the installation of approximately 100 units in early 1994 with a project value of US$5 million. Fifteen hundred units valued at US$60 million are expected to be installed under Phase II over the next 12-18 months, with the remaining 8,500 units to be installed over three years under Phase III.
"We anticipate that the size and scope of the Vietnamese project will increase dramatically over three to five years as Vietnam's water purification needs have now been expanded to include not only the rural villages in more than 50 provinces, for which the 10,000 units under our original agreement have been earmarked, but also the 14,000 schools and 10,000 hospitals throughout the country, according to Government officials with whom we have met," said Mr. Dahya.
According to Mr. Phu Nguyen, Chairman of Pacific Trading and Development Corp., Vector Venture's marketing partner and liaison in Vietnam, "The installation of these 21 units is an important first step toward implementing a full scale water purification project for all of Vietnam including not only the outlying villages and communities which have no municipal water supply, but also the schools, hospitals and other institutions where there is an obvious need. This program is integral toward the rebuilding of Vietnam and we are pleased to have Vector Venture as our partner. Similar sentiments have been expressed by a number of Ministries of the Government of Vietnam."
Vector Venture Corp. is an emerging environmental company whose proprietary technology provides effective economical solutions for water purification, water pollution control and oil spill clean-up.
