 VECTOR AEROMOTIVE CORPORATION INITIATES U.S. DEALER NETWORK;
 COMPANY NAMES VETERAN ROLLS ROYCE EXECUTIVE TO NATIONAL SALES POST
 WILMINGTON, Calif., Oct. 26 /PRNewswire/ -- In an effort to accommodate heightened consumer interest and increased product demand, Vector Aeromotive Corporation (NASDAQ: VCAR) President and CEO, Gerald A. Wiegert, today announced the establishment of an exclusive dealer/distributor network that
will eventually serve all major metropolitan areas in the United States. To help develop and service this program, veteran automotive executive and for 18 years the Rolls Royce Motor Cars' General Manager of Service, Walter H. Baell, has been named national sales, service and parts manager (U.S.).
 "I'm excited about this opportunity to become involved on the ground floor of developing a premium dealer program," comments Baell. "I have long admired the fine craftsmanship and high tech image that Vector is known for and whole-heartedly embrace the company's expanding mission. It is also gratifying to be able to use my years of experience on behalf of an all-American product."
 Vector will concentrate on categorizing the U.S. market into seven regions, where selected and qualified dealers will obtain exclusive regional rights. Until now, the Vector W8 TwinTurbo supercar has been sold factory-direct or through a recently established alliance with the United Kingdom-based Hooper & Co. (Coachbuilders) Ltd. "This new strategy will strengthen Vector's positioning for long-term growth and profitability," asserts Robert Braner, Vector's vice president of marketing. The company is expected to announce its first dealer in the New York metropolitan area, and will initially concentrate on the Eastern Seaboard. "Vector manufactures a unique product that caters to a specific niche market, and the company will adhere to strict qualifications criteria when selecting a dealer to represent its supercars," adds Braner.
 One of Baell's first tasks will be to attend the Singapore Motor Show in November 1992, where Vector will exhibit two W8 TwinTurbos and the Avtech WX3. The Avtech WX3 prototype, which starred at the Geneva, New York and Las Vegas auto shows, is slated for mid-1993 production. Vector is in the process of expanding existing facilities to increase production capabilities to help meet anticipated buyer demand for 1993 and 1994 model years.
 "Our ultimate goal is to manufacture a complete line of Vector automobiles that will compete on a variety of pricing levels, and yet retain the technologically advanced components, materials and processes that have made the W8 so recognizable," said Wiegert.
 Vector Aeromotive Corporation manufactures America's only EPA/DOT- certified supercar. The company is located in Wilmington near the Port of Los Angeles.
