VARIAN ASSOCIATES TO BE FEATURED ON 'TODAY'S ENVIRONMENT'
BOCA RATON, Fla., Aug. 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Five Star Productions

announced today that Varian Associates, Inc., based in Palo Alto, Calif., will be featured this weekend on the national television series, "Today's Environment". The weekly show is unique as it is the only ongoing series that examines the roles of corporate America, industry, and individuals who are making positive contributions towards preserving and revitalizing the world's environment. "We are very pleased to be able to include Varian, and to spotlight their ongoing efforts to better our planet," notes Executive Producer Ron Godfrey.
"Our focus," Godfrey added, "is on the companies and people around our country that have taken it upon themselves to get more involved and use their resources to help solve our many pollution, land use and energy problems. Varian's efforts are a clear demonstration of how companies can work with both the private and public sectors towards the common goal of earth preservation."
The host for the series is Ed Begley Jr., considered to be one of the most environmentally conscious actors in Hollywood. In addition to his acting career Ed is an active board member of many environmental groups. He has appeared in numerous television shows and movies, and is probably best known for his Emmy-nominated portrayal of Dr. Victor Ehrlich, on NBC's long-running series "St. Elsewhere."
"Today's Environment" is included in American Medical Television's "Healthstyles" programming. Varian, which produces analytical instruments used for environmental monitoring, will be featured on the show which airs this Saturday, Aug. 8, on CNBC, and again Sunday, Aug. 9, on The Discovery Channel. Viewers should check their local listings for time in their area.
