VALUE-ADDED WOOD PRODUCTS GUIDE PRODUCED TO ASSIST JAPANESE IMPORTERS

TACOMA, Wash., Sept. 16 /PRNewswire/ -- The Evergreen Partnership and the Washington State Department of Trade and Economic Development (DTED) recently produced a Japanese language Value Added Wood Products Directory for interested Washington state companies, the Evergreen Partnership announced today. The directory is designed to be a tool for prospective purchasers of Washington state wood products. It includes contact information, product information and company profiles.
"We feel that the directory will increase the exposure of small and medium sized wood products companies in Japanese markets," explains Deborah Robinson, market development program manager for the Evergreen Partnership. "There is a strong need for Japanese language materials to promote Washington state products. We are pleased to be part of this cooperative effort."
The directory is the first of its kind to be translated into Japanese. It will be distributed at trade shows in Japan and among purchasing agents, designers, distributors and builders through DTED's forest products office in Tokyo and the Evergreen Partnership.
Together the Evergreen Partnership and DTED help develop and expand international opportunities to market Washington state forest products and building materials. For more information or a copy of the directory, please contact the Evergreen Partnership at 206-922-6640.
