Use your car lights during dark days; LETTERS.

DARK mornings, grey skies, black clouds - plus grey/silver cars, black cars, cars painted in dark colours ,plus no lights or parking lights equals accidents.

Why is it that some drivers persist in driving without lights or just use parking lights on these dark dismal mornings? Other cars may be using lights but not these drivers who can be a danger to other road users.

They do not seem to understand that lights are not just to see by but on these half light mornings they are to be SEEN BY other drivers.

This morning while waiting at a T junction by the old A5 on Anglesey three cars approached from my right, easily seen as they had their head lights on, I started to move out when I suddenly realised there was another car approaching, no lights, and the background of trees made a dark rainy morning even darker.

As he drove past me I could see the car was a dark gunmetal grey, but to see this he was only about 10 ft in front of my bumper and lit up by my headlights.

Lights please - not just to see but to be seen.
