Uphill task for Froome; Updated reports from around the world CYCLING.

CHRIS FROOME recovered from a poor start to the final climb at the Tour of Spain to claim third on stage 10 and overall.

But Nairo Quintana retook the red jersey after crossing first in the 188-km stage from Lugones to Lagos de Covadonga to take a commanding lead.

Quintana leads nearest challenger and Movistar team-mate Alejandro Valverde by 57secs, and Froome by 58.

"It fills me with pride to leave my name as a winner on this mountain. I had always dreamt of winning here," said Quintana, who gained 25secs on Froome, but says the Briton is still the favourite.
