Update On P&G In Eastern Europe

A recent article in Advertising Age (9/30/91) updated plans by Procter & Gamble, Cincinnati, OH, to sell several of its consumer products into Eastern European countries. In Hungary, it will introduce "Pampers" disposable diapers through a joint venture with Ergonett Co. In Poland, it will also introduce Pampers, this time through a joint venture with OMC Poll.

Advertising for Pampers was set to start in Hungary last month, with ads demonstrating the diapers' superiority to cloth and inserts, the predominant way of diapering in that market.
