University of South Florida Sarasota/Manatee: The destination for higher education.

The Sarasota/Manatee area has long been viewed as a resort destination renowned fonts natural beauty and diverse cultural offerings. People flock to the sun-soaked beaches and celebrate the artistic flair of our residents--it is the place for inspiration.

But is this a university town tool? Yes! The University of South Florida Sarasota/Manatee is thriving at the heart of the community, making this the best place to be inspired and enlightended!

Universities represent a tremendous asset to a community, offering an extraordinary contribution to the overall quality of life. Institutions of higher education attract residents and contribute to workforce advancement and retention. Universities also offer residents of all ages and socio-economic means the opportunity to receive or advance their education or simply pursue intellectual enrichment.

As this community's own Research I public university, USF Sarasota/Manatee is where our nurses, teachers, accountants, businesspeople and social workers are trained. And our quality of life is directly impacted by the services provided by these local graduates and community leaders.

An extraordinary combination of time, location, people and opportunity led to the design of a campus growth plan that seeks to double enrollment over the next five years, preparing some 5,000 students per year for professional and leadership roles in this area. Our goal is to build upon the existing excellent framework to produce a first-class university program and to design and construct a campus environment that blends together our history and our future.

This is a defining moment for our campus. This is the right time and the right place to grow USF Sarasota/Manatee!
