MIAMI--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 25, 2004

The University of Miami, one of the nation's premier research and teaching universities, has entered into an exclusive educational partnership with the prestigious IMG Academies in Bradenton, Florida. Already underway since January, the University is teaching language courses through its Intensive English Program on campus at IMG Academies. Since 1951, this program has prepared students from over 100 countries for academic studies in English. The University plans to offer more courses of study on site.

"The University of Miami will bring the best of its programs westward to complement the intensive regimen that aspiring champions are undertaking at this highly regarded institution," said Paul M. Orehovec, Vice President of UM's Division of Continuing and International Education, which will eventually offer more academic opportunities for IMG Academies and the surrounding area.

At IMG Academies, student athletes from all over the United States and over 50 countries are trained by world-class coaches to excel in a sport of their choosing. The University of Miami plans to design classes for family members who often accompany these prodigies.

IMG Academies is owned and operated by IMG, the global leader in sports and entertainment management. IMG's academy division evolved out of the purchase of the Nick Bollettieri Tennis Academy (NBTA) in 1987 when Andre Agassi, Jim Courier and Monica Seles were students in residence. Today, the 190 acre campus located on Florida's West Coast features the NBTA, The David Leadbetter Golf Academy, the IMG Soccer Academy, the Baseball Academy, the Basketball Academy and the International Performance Institute. Approximately 540 full-time students attend from September through May, and 10,000 attend summer camp and holiday sessions throughout the year. Corporate executives, collegiate and professional athletes and families on vacation also join the junior sporting elite onsite for intensive tutelage on the technical, tactical, physical, mental and nutritional aspects of sports training.

"IMG Academies and The Pendleton School (our onsite K-12 academic institution) are proud and honored to welcome the University of Miami to our campus. The language school and university level courses offered are ideally suited to the talented student athletes who flock to our complex from all over the world," said Greg Breunich, Senior Vice President of IMG and Co-Director of IMG Academies.
