University Center to Host Open House October 1.

Byline: Hilary Ward Schnadt

The University Center of Lake County will host an Open House on Tuesday, October 1 from 5:30 -- 7:30 pm at the University Center's Grayslake facility (1200 University Center Drive). Attendees can learn about more than 120 accredited programs available through the University Center to enable students to remain living and working in Lake County while they complete a bachelor's degree, earn a graduate degree, or pursue professional development certificates. They can meet with program representatives to ask questions about curriculum and admission, discuss their career path, and enjoy light refreshments.

All University Center programs are offered via evening or weekend or online study so that working adults can complete degrees without relocating to distant campuses or adding lengthy commutes. The University Center's pre-admission advisor is an independent guide who can help students review academic options, choose the program that best matches their goals, pursue financial aid opportunities, and connect with admissions staff at the relevant member college or university.

Call 847/665-4000 or visit for more information. More information about each academic program is available on the University Center's website
