Universities of Damascus and Tehran Sign Cooperation Memo.

Damascus, (SANA)- Damascus University and the University of Tehran signed on Tuesday a memo of understanding on cultural and academic exchange program. Based on the agreement, both universities will cooperate in exchanging academics and experts and higher education students and holding joint research activities. Both sides will work to facilitate joint publication of books. Rector of the University of Tehran Farhard Rahbar presented a review of the phases of establishing a Persian Language Department at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities at Damascus University. The project is completely funded by Tehran University and is be put into service within a year. Rector of Damascus University Wael Mualla expressed readiness to offer all types of support and to provide administrative and teaching staff for the new department. H. Said /Idelbi
