The United States Department of Energy (DOE) is planning to sign conditional loan guarantees with 10 to 15 additional renewable energy and energy efficiency projects in the next six months, according to Doug Schultz, the head of the programme.

The Department of Energy is expecting to receive USD500m more through the recent budget announced by President Barack Obama to help cover credit subsidies for projects.

Schultz stated that the programme has been chosen as a Master Service for the commercial project loan guarantee programme.
