Provides rapidly deployable, capabilities-focused expeditionary air and space forces to conduct the full spectrum of military operations to achieve U.S. objectives based on taskings from the U.S. European Command commander and is an integral part of the military forces of NATO.
Responsibilities
Enhances transatlantic security, promotes regional stability and advances U.S. interests in Europe, Greenland, Iceland, the Azores, Russia, the Middle East, Africa, the Mediterranean, the Caspian Sea and more than half of the Atlantic Ocean, spanning 20.5 million square miles and 93 countries from the northern tip of Greenland to the eastern tip of Russia, to the southern tip of Africa.
