Private Security Board of the Texas Department of Public Safety administers the private investigation firms

As per the Texas Occupations Code Sec 1702.104, in the State of Texas, any firm that enter in the business of securing, or accepts employment to secure, evidence for use before a Court, is required to hold a Private Investigator License.
