United States : Virginia woman sues Life Insurance Company of North America,.

A Virginia woman has sued Life Insurance Company of North America, saying that there was breach of contract when the firm terminated her long-term disability contract.

Amanda Carter lodged a complaint on 29th June in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against Life Insurance Company of North America.

She alleged that the insurance firm refused to pay benefits to the plaintiff.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff has accused that she was hurt economically from having been denied her disability benefits. The plaintiff says that Life Insurance Company of North America is responsible as the defendant allegedly denied plaintiff's disability benefits in spite of her being disabled according to the terms of the plan.

The plaintiff has sough judgment against the defendant in the amount of 60% of plaintiff's gross monthly salary, court costs, interest and any further relief the court grants. She is represented by Jamie R. Hall of Law Office of Jamie R. Hall in Kennett Square.
