United States : VIASAT BROADCASTING gets rights to air MLB World Series.

ESPN Media Distribution has authorized the rights to air Major League Baseball s World Series in the Nordic region to Modern Times Group s Viasat Broadcasting.

Viasat would have the rights to air the 2015 championship on its platform and also with the rights to ESPN s news and highlights show Baseball Tonight.

All games of the best-of-seven series live would be shown by Viasat on TV3 Sport 1 in Denmark, Viasat Football in Norway, Viasat 16 in Sweden and Viasat Sport in Finland.

ESPN Media Distribution has received the other broadcasters of the World Series all over EMEA, comprising BT Sport in the UK and Ireland and Viasat Sport East in Russia and CIS.
