United States : Trimble Expands its Portfolio of CAD and CAM Software Solutions for Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing Contractors.

Trimble announced today that it will distribute EastCoast CAD/CAM software solutions. The addition of EastCoast's software diversifies Trimble's portfolio of Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and Computer-Aided Manufacturing (CAM) solutions for Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP), HVAC and sheet metal contractors and engineers.

Trimble's MEP portfolio now includes compatibility with AutoCAD MEP and Revit MEP with the addition of the EastCoast's software solutions. EastCoast CAD/CAM provides software, which include: EC-CAD: Comprehensive HVAC, plumbing and piping detailing tool that works inside of the AutoCAD MEP platform, EC-DuctMaker: Specification-driven CAM software that streamlines fabrication and reduces sheet metal waste while efficiently producing sheet metal components, EastCoast MEP Design to Fabrication: Automation software to apply manufacturer piping and ductwork data to Revit MEP or AutoCAD MEP engineered drawings.
