United States : PWSA, CARDNO ink a pact to implement CMMS for better decisions.

The Pittsburgh Water and Sewer Authority (PWSA) has secured a deal with Cardno, Inc. to execute a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), a data management tool that will allow PWSA to make better infrastructure maintenance conclusions.

The CMMS is an electronic system that will permit PWSA to follow up preventative and corrective maintenance details on assets, and also serve as a repository for asset details and features.

The system is a sole filing cabinet that tracks details on equipment inspections and repairs, rendering data to bolster decisions pertinent to budget, scheduling, and workload balancing.

PWSA will be better capable to enhance maintenance operations once it executes the CMMS, that will track a range of incorporated functions comprising: Work orders; Preventative maintenance; Corrective maintenance; Asset management; and, Safety.

James Good, PWSAs executive director said, CMMS will be a vital tool for the authority as it works to improve operations and ensure our customers have consistently reliable access to water.

The system will provide our team with crucial data and tracking functions that will allow them to complete every job efficiently and effectively.
