United States : PAINE Electronics business purchased by Emerson.

Emerson declared that it has purchased the Paine Electronics business from Paine Electronics, LLC, which will become part of Emerson Process Management. Paine Electronics, a foremost manufacturer of pressure transducers, is known worldwide for its pressure and temperature instrumentation used in some of the most challenging environments.

Emerson Process Management with this acquisition expands its leadership in offering measurement technologies for the oil and gas industry with expanded upstream capabilities in subsea and downhole drilling operations. Paine s products will join the RosemountA portfolio of measurement technologies. Conditions of the purchase were not revealed.

Tom Moser, group vice president of Emerson Process Management s Measurement and Analytical technologies said, Paine s products are a natural complement to our already-strong measurement technologies for the oil and gas industry . We are excited about the synergy between our two companies and the opportunities for global business growth.

Paine from 1951 has manufactured pressure and temperature sensors designed for long-term stability, accuracy and reliability in physically harsh environments. Paine Electronics headquartered in East Wenatchee, Wash., previously this year launched a new research and development center that presents advanced design capabilities in addition to simulation and testing facilities. Paine has above 100 employees and manufacturing facilities in East Wenatchee and Renton, Wash.
