Our CareerCenters offer no-cost information and resources to help Mainers find a new or better job or training program to support a career change, whether theyre out of work or looking for a better job, said Governor Paul R. LePage. Each location provides computers with Internet access and printers that job seekers can use, as well as workshops and expert advice. CareerCenters can assist businesses by offering workshops on location, at local businesses or other organizations at no cost. The following workshops and programs will be held at the CareerCenter in Springvale unless otherwise noted.
Gateways to Employment Wednesday, November 8, 15, 22 and 29, 9 a.m. to Noon
Join this workshop for an overview of basic information on Resumes, Interviews and Job Search skills as well as CareerCenter and community resources available to you during your job search. Seats are limited, please call 324-5460 to register.

Essentials of College Planning Workshop Monday, November 13, 20 and 27, 10 a.m. to Noon
A FREE interactive workshop that outlines the four steps in the college process: admissions, financial aid, career planning, and study skills. The workshop lasts approximately two or three hours. Monthly Job Fair at the CareerCenter Monday, November 27, 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Explore your next employment opportunity. Representatives from several companies will be here interviewing for current openings. Please check our web site for the list of employers which will be updated as employers confirm attendance. No appointment required.
Competitive Skills Scholarship Program - The Competitive Skills Scholarship helps workers learn new skills and succeed in a changing economy. The program is open to all qualified Maine residents and pays for education and training for high-wage jobs in demand in Maine. York County currently is not accepting new applications for the program. Continue to check for updates on information regarding when new applications will be available.
