Trading Technologies, the private global trading software provider has announced that it has appointed Rick Lane as its new chief executive officer, succeeding Harris Brumfield, TT s majority owner, who will remain as chairman.

Brumfield served as the firm s CEO for the past 11 years.

Lane said: With age comes software that becomes difficult to manage which equates to a company that becomes difficult to operate and manage.

According to him, he will talk over specific changes to TT s technology and business operations publicly soon. He said, those enhancements will draw a more diverse client base, change the way traders access markets and alter the way this software is implemented and accessed globally.

In 2010, Lane started at TT when it bought the firm he co-founded, TickIt Trading Systems. In September 2011, he took over charge as a product manager at Google , then rejoined TT in April 2012 as its CTO.
