United States : Korean Everdigm expands to the U.S.
The South Korean maker of concrete pumps, Everdigm, is entering the United States with a home office in Metter.
A world leader in concrete pumps, hydraulic attachments, tower cranes and more, Everdigm, builds concrete pumps that are used in infrastructure projects from housing to commercial and industrial. The pumps achieve heights of up to 200 feet.
The company, will operate as Everdigm America Inc., and import assembled pumps from South Korea.
Candler County Industrial Authority has worked with the Korean company to bring the US offices to Metter.
Hannah Mullins, executive director with Candler County Industrial Authority, said, "We are delighted to welcome Everdigm America to the business community. Metter truly is the better location in the Southeast for their future growth.
Everdigm will work in collaboration with their North American distributor CPE America, which is housed in the I-16 Industrial Park, and will do business out of the same facility.
CPE America, which launched operations this past summer, will buy the assembled pumps and mount them onto trucks to be sold for construction projects countrywide.
Anthony Chang, sales manager for Everdigm America, said, "We will do the manufacturing and importing and (CPE America) will do assembly and sales. It is beneficial to have the same facility (as CPE America). It is more efficient."
