United States : JACKSON to DC flight becomes permanent.

As per the reports, US Airways and the federal government have stated that those intermittent flights between Jackson-Medgar Wiley Evers International Airport to Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport in Washington, D.C., will become permanent. US Airways had been making the flight on a stopgap basis since March, replacing a daily flight Delta had offered since 2005.

The federal government regained the route and then sought a new permanent carrier and/or destination. US Airways says that Republic Airways will operate the daily round trip with a 69-seat regional jet flying as US Airways Express.
