United States : INSURANCE REGULATORS lift suspension of OREGON-based firm.

Insurance regulators have disclosed that they have lifted the suspension of an Oregon-based firm to again provide health insurance policies in Alaska and Oregon.

The Alaska Division of Insurance and the Oregon Department of Consumer and Business Services have struck a deal with Moda Health Plan Inc.

Moda will be able to renew policies and sell new policies to both individual and group clients in Alaska and Oregon, said the Division of Insurance.

According to Alaska officials, both states reached an agreement with Moda over the weekend that shows a plan for the firm to stabilize its financial position and carry on providing coverage.
