United States : Hoeven Announces Nearly $2 Million in Grants for Grand Forks, Rolla, Mott and Cooperstown Airports.
Senator John Hoeven, a member of the Senate Transportation, Housing and Urban Development Appropriations Committee, announced that the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has awarded Airport Improvement Program (AIP) grants totaling $1,963,290 for projects at four North Dakota airports including:
Grand Forks International Airport $786,542 to reconstruct existing apron pavement and rehabilitate an existing apron.
Rolla Municipal Airport $750,000 to construct a hangar building and an apron to provide aircraft parking.
Mott Municipal Airport $276,748 to rehabilitate the access road as well as existing runway and an existing apron.
Cooperstown Municipal Airport $150,000 to acquire land and enable the airport to control land use within the runway protection zones.
This funding will help provide infrastructure improvements to keep our airports running efficiently and safely. Our local airports are important to our growing economy and todays funds will support important infrastructure investments, said Hoeven.
