United States : HYUNDAI targets new crossover concept vehicle at urban adventures.

The centerpiece of Hyundai's line that the company unveiled at the 2015 North American International Auto Show in Detroit Monday, is the Santa Cruz, a new crossover concept vehicle designed for "urban adventurers."

The car has a sleek body that reminds you of a dune buggy set on top of a chassis with big wheels featuring an open bed that can be extended to lengths like those in most midsize pickups.

Director of corporate planning for Hyundai Motor America, Mark Dipko, said : "Millennials now represent the second largest population of car buyers and women account for nearly 50 percent of light vehicle purchases.,"

He noted that enhanced urbanization requires vehicles that can park in tight spaces.

Mark added : "We call the people leading this shift urban adventurers. They have a different mindset. They're active socially and in their communities and bring a pioneering spirit."
